Jack Rivers (formerly Jack Rivers Lewis and brother of Texas
Jim Lewis) was one of the most terrific guitar pickers in C&W
Music. He played with Jim in his earlier days, but later went to the
Hollywood area to play for other artists (for instance Jimmy Wakely).
He didn't record many vocals with the exception of radio
transcriptions. However, two LPs could be compiled for CATTLE RECORDS
(## 84 and 91). At the time of our correspondence Jack lived in Apache
Junction, Arizona. Too bad, he is no longer with us. The picture Jack
sent us was probably made in the 1980s.
